Post-Conference Advanced Workshops

Optimizing Project Design & Operations

Thursday, September 24, 2026 | 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM | $150

Join us for a focused technical session on the operational realities of energy storage systems, bringing together experts across system design, project development, engineering, commissioning, and asset management. This session will examine how design decisions translate into field performance over the lifespan of the project, discussing the nexus of system architecture, controls, thermal management, maintenance, and operational optimization. The workshop will link development-stage choices with real-world operating experience and highlight practical ways to improve system performance and long-term asset value. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of what it takes to translate good ESS design into reliable, safe, and high-performing operations in the field.

Safety by Design: A Deep Dive into Safety Strategies & Standards

Thursday, September 24, 2026 | 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM | $150

911±¬ÁÏÍø will offer a half-day advanced workshop immediately following the main conference, offering a deep dive into the critical safety and fire protection considerations shaping grid-scale battery energy storage projects. Designed for professionals responsible for safety, risk, design, and emergency preparedness, the workshop would explore thermal runaway and UL 9540A testing, fire detection and suppression strategies, explosion and gas management, lessons from large-scale fire testing and real-world incidents, and effective emergency response planning. Hiller and ESRG specialists would combine expert-led instruction with interactive, case-based exercises, giving participants practical insights and strategies they can apply to improve project safety, inform design decisions, and strengthen coordination with AHJs and first responders.
